Bachmann's 1976 catalog is the debut of the following Plasticville, U.S.A.
Old West Building Kits. The collection originally featured five buildings, including a Livery Stable and Blacksmith,
Old Time Station, Marshall's Office and Restaurant, Saloon and Barber's Shop,
and General Store and Bank. Also in the set was the Rock Assortment, which was a set
of plastic case boulders. The Old West kits are listed in '76 with retail prices of $5-$6 each. The rocks were
available for $3 that year. The Old West buildings survived in the Bachmann line, but the Rock Assortment is found only
in the 1976 product catalog. Though not included with it, the Old West collection of buildings compliments and was introduced
the same year of 1976, Bachmann first offered The Great Iron Horse Train Robbery (#1870) train set. Click
