TGV
1985-1986 (No.40-0150)
The HO-Scale TGV set appears first in the 1985 Bachmann catalog.  The set included a 5-unit train made up of a powered and non-powered locomotive and three cars.  The cars appear to be of two bodystyles.  There are a pair of cars with hoods on one end and the other car has a flat roof.  The set's retail was $90 in 1985 and it included a 54" x 36" oval track plan.  A power pack is not stated as being among the TGV's contents according to the catalog description.  The Bachmann TGV set appears in the HO-Scale Train Sets sections of only the 1985 and 1986 catalogs.  The N-Scale version arrives a year prior to the HO-Scale example and stays one year longer to 1987.
