In the 1976, the catalog shows the 1880 twelve-wheeler decorated for Denver & Rio Grande and also Central Pacific. Both ready-to-run models are priced at $35, while a kit version(#7712) is priced at $24. For 1977, the R-T-R version is shown only in D&RG and priced at $40, with the kit bumped up to $28.  The above TYCO ad was featured in the August 1976 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman magazine.
