The original issue of Walthers 53' Thrall Gondola kits came in two
bodystyles (corrugated- or smooth-side) selling for $10.98 each. Six roadnames made up the first release with the UP
and ATSF examples produced with the corrugated sides; the smooth side cars were SP, CNW, DRGW, and CSX. Walthers
offered Undec examples in both bodystyles.
